It is a little bit grey this morning, but the forecast gives it clearing nicely to leave a pleasant day and hopefully some nice fish landed.

Wind forecast N 5mph. Current wind is 3mph.

Sea conditions: Calm with Chesil almost clear of colour. Portland Bill, Kimmeridge and Portland Harbour still have a cloudy tinge to the water.  Temperature 10.4*c Weymouth high water 5.23pm 1.91m high.

Beach forecast: Those after Plaice and Dabs should do well at Abbotsbury and Cogden with Ragworm, Peeler crab and Mussels all doing well the past few days. Nice sized tides will also produce Ray, Dogfish and the odd Bass at night. Hive beach seems to be fishing exceptionally well at the moment. With the better water clarity, Mackerel should be all along the beach.

Porrland: Still a little bit too coloured for success with lures around the Portland marks. However plenty of Wrasse and Pollock will come to Ragworm and crab baits.

Boats: it looks like quite a few boats have got out this morning after the Turbot and Plaice on the Shambles. Some very good catches of Plaice being reported from several boats. Great conditions for Kayak fishing in Portland harbour and along the coastline.
