Looks like we could be in for a good couple of days of fishing, with light winds and decent tides

Water Temperature: 11.4*c Weymouth High Tide: 6.25pm, 1.94m
Sea Conditions:
Chesil Beach: Calm with a slight ripple. Water clarity is good
Portland Bill: Some small wavelets on the West side, but the East side is calm. Water clarity is good on both sides with a bit of weed in the bays on the East side.
Portland Harbour: Slight ripple on the water, but generally calm, especially along the Sandsfoot stretch. Water is annoyingly coloured still and even more so after yesterdays blow.
Weymouth Bay: Calm with good water clarity.
Chesil Beach forecast: Lots of Mackerel all along the beach. Plaice and Dabs from Abbotsbury to Cogden, but the numbers are deteriorating now as the Plaice start to move elsewhere.This weekend should be very good for Smoothound. Make sure you order your peeler crabs early if you want some as I know a lot have been booked at the tackle shops. Hermit Crab is just as good and sometimes better if you can get it live. It is certainly a better frozen bait than frozen Peeler. Evening tides are producing Bass, Dogfish and Pout from all along the beach. Fish Eastern end towards Weymouth and Portland for Bream and to the West for Rays.
Portland: Great conditions for Pollock and Wrasse on worm or lure. I had a go yesterday and in the clear water I could see a half dozen Wrasse come out from all over the place to nail my soft plastic lures. Fantastic sport!
Portland Harbour: Due to the poor water clarity it will be bait fishing only in the harbour. Having said that I would expect to see plenty of small Bass and flounders on this set of spring tides..
Weymouth Bay: I would opt for one of the piers if I was fishing Weymouth this weekend. Plenty of different species including some small Bream and decent size Wrasse.
Kimmeridge Bay: With the ranges open from this evening and a spring tide approaching the chance of good Bass and Wrasse is very high. Reports of decent size fish make this mark an exciting prospect.
